New Release Announcement

Today, the Apiphany team is happy to announce the following updates to our API management and delivery platform.

Why is it important to have an API strategy?

I come from a travel industry background, yet until I joined the Apiphany team recently, I had no idea about the size and importance of the API economy. Agreed, in the past the airline industry hasn’t always been an innovator when it comes to cutting-edge technology, but a flurry of small companies and start-ups are flourishing to help bring this gigantic industry up-to-date on technology. I just did not know that most of them were probably running on APIs.

How to Successfully Launch Your API at a Hackathon

They call it a hackathon, hack day, hackfest, or even codefest. Organizations and enterprises are increasingly holding hackathons as a great way to drive innovation and creativity. It’s also a great way to launch your API and unleash creative chaos with software developers, graphic and user experience designers, and anyone simply interested in coding and staying up all night. The goal is fairly simple: create an app that uses an API or set of APIs in a unique way that elegantly solves a problem. Most hackathons hold a contest and vote on the best app. This drives the spirit of healthy competition while attracting motivated developers to participate.

Announcing our new pricing model: fair and square.

The Apiphany team is happy to introduce a new pricing model for our cloud-based Global API Delivery Platform™. Whatever the size of your organization, and wherever you are in the development of your API strategy, we believe you’ll find the new model to be remarkably simple.

5 Crucial APIs to Know About

As some of you know, Apiphany was a sponsor of DCWEEK 2012, a week-long conference in November that brought together designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and social innovators of all kinds. Thank you iStrategyLabs and Tech Cocktail for organizing that event.

In addition to sponsoring the conference, our team had an opportunity to speak on a panel. In our presentation, 5 Crucial APIs to Know About, we covered a range of topics, from what an API is, to building a business on an external API. It was definitely a fun and interesting conversation.
